Nice Light for photography when your children are still awake and happy!

This is probably the best thing about being a family photographer in the Winter. The nicest possible light for photography generally starts a couple of hours before sunset. Depending on the age of your children, this could mean a late finish during the Summer months, or more likely we would schedule your family photo-shoot to when the light isn’t as special. During the Winter you will likely be back home for dinner! This also works when shooting first thing in the Morning – shooting at 6am in the Summer is no fun whereas an 830am start in the Winter is no problem.

Not only does the sun go down earlier in the Winter, but it also takes longer to go down, meaning I have more time to take your family photographs in awesome light.

More time

As a wedding photographer my Summers are hectic, and it can be impossible to find a premium weekend slot for your shoot. For the same reason its also hard to reschedule your shoot in the Summer should the weather be less than perfect. During the Winter months there is generally availability within a two to three week period.

Woolly hats look awesome!

Woolly hats and Winter clothes can add a really different feel, even if just for a few of your photos!

Wellington locations are quieter

Beaches and Park locations are busy during the Summer months, but during the Winter you may just have it to yourselves.

Family photo’s in time for Christmas

Just like me, many of my customers have family overseas. Family photographs make excellent gifts, but with Christmas delivery times to think about you need to get your gifts in the post well in advance. As I deliver images digitally at high resolution you are able to make as many gifts as you like. Why not get organised early this year and sort out Christmas early!

To keep things simple and up front I have just one Family photography package. The cost is $500+gst, which includes the shoot at one or two locations of our choosing and all of your edited digital images processed at high resolution in both black and white and colour, meaning you can reproduce them non commercially as you wish.
